Intermediate Championship 2020
Round 1 of the Intermediate Championship seen Killeshandra take on Bailieborough Shamrocks in Killygary on a very wet Sunday evening the game got underway with Bailieborough opening the score line with two points in the opening 5 minutes Rhys Clarke(11) and Luke Gilsenan(13) getting them. Killeshandra received a 45m free in the 9th minute to give them their opening score thanks to Eoin Brady(11) followed by another free 10 minutes in Conor McGearty(12) taking it. In the 12th minute Bailieborough were rewarded a 13m free and Luke Gilsenan(13) putting it over the bar for Bailieborough's 3rd point. Bailieborough had the run for the next 6 minutes scoring another 4 points thanks to Bailieborough own Rhys Clarke(11) getting 3 of them and Luke Gilsenan(13) getting the 4th from a free. Killeshandra followed and managed to pull it back by scoring 3 points Conor McGearty(12) getting two from frees and Eoin Brady(11) from a free also. Bailieborough in the 27th and 28th minute got two more points and was pulling away thanks to Brendan Argue(14) and Rhys Clarke(11). Killeshandra got a Penalty in the 31st minute of the first half brought it back to within two points thanks to Daniel Luby(10). HALF TIME SCORE Killeshandra 1-4(7) Bailieborough 0-9(9).
Second half got underway and Killeshandra got of to a great start with Aaron Brady(9) getting a goal for this team to but the in the lead for the first time but it was short lived as Bailieborough managed to get two frees in the 6th and 7th minute Philip Clarke(10) and Rhys Clarke(11) getting them. Another free in the 8th minute for Killeshandra brought it back to a draw Eion Brady(11) getting it and Conor McGearty(12) getting a great point in the 9th minute to put them in the lead once again. Bailieborough responded by getting the next 4 points Rhys Clarke(11) one again getting two of them and Damien O Reilly(15) Getting two. Conor McGearty(12) got the Leaguers 7th point of the game in the 19th minute and Philip Clarke(10) got Bailieborough 16th point in the 21st minute followed by Bailieborough's Goal thanks to Luke Gilsenan(13) seen them take the lead by 6th points. Killeshandra did get another free in the 23rd minute and yet again Conor McGearty(12) taking it. Bailieborough finished of their score line before full time with a free Luke Gilsenan(13) and Rory Farrell(17) getting the last point of the game.
Well done to both teams under the weather conditions. Final score Killeshandra 2-08(14) Bailieborough 1-18(21). Unlucky lads.

U17s Division 2
Rd2 U17s St. Joseph’s v Killinkere CLG on Saturday 1st August the game ended St.Joseph’s 2-4 Killinkere 5-12 Unlucky lads.
St. Joseph’s v Castlerahan on Tuesday 11th August at 7.15pm. Best of luck lads.

St. Joseph's first game against Ballyhaise took place on Tuesday evening the game ended St. Joseph’s 4-04 Ballyhaise 1-13 Congratulations to both teams who played a great game of football.

U13 Championship 2020

Congratulations to the U11s who played their first game of the year against Templeport on Saturday Morning.
Little leaguers and U7s will not back training until September 12th 2020
Loop the lakes charity run/walk
The annual loop of the Lakes charity run/walk hopes to go ahead this year with a difference. News to follow in the coming weeks.
Safe Return to Play
Players will be asked to arrive togged out for training. The Covid-19 education programme will outline key return to play roles and protocols such as the Covid Supervisor and the Health Questionnaire ahead of the return to action.
As a lot of games start back this weekend Spectators follow the action. Crowds at GAA matches will not increase from Monday after the Government this evening ruled out plans to allow outdoor m.gatherings of up to 500 people in Phase Four of the roadmap for reopening the country.Some restrictions were due to be lifted on 20 July. The current guidelines on public gatherings will remain in place until at least 10 August, with 200 people permitted to attend events outdoors and for the GAA this includes teams, mentors, officials, stewards and members of the press. #staysafe
