Killeshandra played Kildallan on Sunday. The game got off to a great start for the Leaguers with them scoring 1-01 in the opening minutes thanks to Darren O’ Hanlon(15) getting the point and Shane Murphy(13) getting the goal. Kildallan did get their first point of the game in the 7th minute (11) getting the point. Leaguers were on great form and dominated the next 10 minutes with a free from the 20m line Daniel Luby(11) getting the point and a great run from Thomas Reilly who sent the ball into Daniel Luby(11) who sent in over to Paddy King(14) to kick it into the back of the net for another goal for the Leaguers. The backs worked great to keep the Kildallan lads out and prevented them for scoring. The next goal for the Leaguers came shortly after with a good past in for Darren O’ Hanlon(15) to Shane Murphy(13) with Shane spotting Aaron Brady(8) in the middle and sent it into him to get the Leaguers 3rd Goal of the game. Kildallan did have a few chances from frees but to no avail but did managed to get their 2nd point from play thanks to (8). Kildallan got it hard in the first half to keep up with the Leaguers as they went on to score 2-02 before half time thanks to Aaron Brady(8) with a great goal, and a point from Shane Murphy(13) Ryan Brady(12) getting another Goal and Conor O Reilly(6) getting a great point with Daniel Luby(11) finishing the first half with another goal for the Leaguers. Half time score Killeshandra 6-04 Kildallan 0-02. Kildallan opening the second half with a point (3) getting it the Leaguers follow shortly after with their first point Thomas Reilly(9) getting it. Leaguers were rewarded a free in the 10th minute Darren O’ Hanlon(15) taking the free and scoring the point. Adrian Martin(18) came on for Darren O’ Hanlon(15) and Damien Higgins(17) on for Ryan Brady(12). Kildallan had a good run and scored another 4 points they had two chances of goal but two great saved from Joe Masterson(1) stopped that from happening before Adrian Martin(18) burst their bubble and score Killeshandra 7th Goal of the game. Kildallan got another point and it was their last point of the game while the Leaguers went on to score another 3 points before Full time thanks to Daniel Luby(11) Aaron Brady(8) and Ryan Brady(12) who was brought back on for Conor O Reilly(6). Full time score Killeshandra 7-09 Kildallan 0-08. Congratulations Killeshandra on a great win and hard luck Kildallan. #comeontheleaguers.

U13 League Division 4

Killeshandra v St Finbarr’s on Saturday in the playoffs Killeshandra were unlucky its was a very strong St. Finbarr’s team. Congratulations to St. Finbarr’s.

Ulster Final 2019

Killeshandra Club would like to wish the Cavan team and Management all the very best of luck in the Ulster Final on Sunday against Donegal.

Little Leaguers and under 7 Academy

Training is every Saturday morning from 10am to 11am in Killeshandra GAA grounds.

Nursery  Boys and Girls aged 4-5

U7 Academy  Boys and Girls aged 6-7

U12 St. Joseph’s Girls

Training for U12s are on Wednesday in Arva at 7pm and Saturday mornings in Killeshandra 12noon.


Congratulations to Oran Sheridan who won the Feile Skills Challenge and will now go on to represent Cavan and Killeshandra GAA in Abbotstown on the 22nd June.

A Cuilcagh Climb

Congratulations to all who took part in the Cuilcagh Climb (Ballavally Side) on Sunday in memory of Fr. Dan and Pat Dolan with all proceeds are in aid of Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care.
