ACFL 2019 Division 3 Rd2

Killeshandra v Shannon Gaels on Sunday in the 2nd round and the leaguers got off to a great start scoring the first point in the opening minute thanks to a free with Shane Reilly (12) putting it over the bar. Shannon Gaels opened their score line with a point in the second minute thanks to Micheal Colleran (9) and got their second score in the 7th minute from a free Nevin O Donnell (11) taken the point. Both teams looked good but Shannon Gaels however took the lead in the 9th minute thanks to another 45m Free Nevin O Donnell (11) taken the shot and popping it over the bar. Killeshandra did respond in the 10th and 11th minute and got the next two points to even the game thanks to Daniel Luby(8) and a great run up from Conor O’ Reilly(5) with the ball and passed to Conor McGerty(13) to seal the second point. Shannon Gaels did pull away in the next 4 minutes scoring another 3 points thanks to Nevin O Donnell (11) one from a free and the other two from play, but the Leaguers fought back with some great points which seen them take the lead and score the next 5 points before half time. Points from Conor McGerty(13) Tomas O’ Reilly(6) Eoin Brady(15) getting two of them and Shane Reilly(12) from a free. Half time score Killeshandra 0-8 Shannon Gaels 0-6. Second half started with the Leaguers doing what they do best scoring straight from the throw-in with a great run from Daniel Luby(8) who passed it into Cein Sweeney(14) who fisted across to Conor McGearty(13) to put it into the back of the net for the first Goal of the game. Shannon Gaels fought it back to within a point with them scoring the next 4 points in the opening 5 minutes of the second half, points from Nevin O Donnell(11) Oliver Nolan(13) and two 20m Frees take by Nevin O Donnell(11). Killeshandra in the 7th Minute got another point thanks to a great point from Aaron Brady(9). Shannon Gaels received a free in the 8th Minute to get another point from Nevin O Donnell(11) Shannon Gaels in the 10th minute got other point thanks to Philip McGoldrick(12). Both teams playing well with each side scoring point for point. Killeshandra received a free in the 12th minute and Shane Reilly(12) was on flying form scoring another point for the Leaguers. One minute later seen Shannon Gaels also get a free. Nevin O Donnell(11) didn't let his side down either. Aaron Brady(9) in the 14th Minute pop over a great point from an awkward angle at the 20m mark. A few minutes passed before Shannon Gaels received a free to give them another point on the scoreboard Nevin O Donnell(11) but the Leaguers were on their heels and pulling away with the lead with another 3 points, a great point from Shane Reilly(12) another from Eoin Brady(15) and the third from yet again from Shane Reilly(12). The 23rd minute Oliver Nolan(13) got Shannon Gaels another point from play. Conor McGearty(13) in the 27th minute scoring his second Goal for the Leaguers to put them ahead by 5 points. Shannon Gaels got the last two points of the game one from a free Nevin O Donnell(11) and the second from Donal Flanagan(7) but there was no catching the Leaguers today. Full time score Killeshandra 2-14(20) Shannon Gaels 0-17(17) Congratulation lads. #comeontheleaguers.

U15 League Division 5 Rd1

St. Joseph's played Ramor United on Wednesday evening the game ended St. Joseph's 7-10(31) Ramos Utd 6-11(29). Congratulations on a great comeback to win the game St. Joseph's.

The U13 League will start on Tuesday the 16th April Killeshandra with play Cornafean at 7pm.

U12s St. Joseph's girls

Congratulations to the U12 Girls who won their game today Sunday against Lavey in Arva. The game ended St. Joseph's 0-23 Lavey 0-07 well done Girls.
