Safe Return to Play

The GAA will be issuing  a Covid-19 education programme to all clubs in the coming days for further guidance on a safe return to activity.Club training in small groups can return on pitches from 29th June before the resumption of fixtures on 31 July. Players will be asked to arrive togged out for training. The Covid-19 education programme will outline key return to play roles and protocols such as the Covid Supervisor and the Health Questionnaire ahead of the return to action.

For the Club to move forward to a safe Return to play we will be appointing a Covid Supervisor to each team and the walking track.

Phase 2: 8th June sees walking tracks opening up ( which we are currently working on and hope to be able to provide this service shortly). You must be in the 20km Radius and groups of no more than 4. All other GAA grounds and facilities remain closed.

Phase 3: 29th June All GAA pitches to reopen with Training to recommence for Adults and Juvenile Teams entry to the grounds will be restricted to players and management ONLY. All indoor Facilities remain closed. Groups allowed to train are Group 1-U14s  Group 2 15-18 Group 3 Adults no more than 10 players and 2 coaches in a designated area of pitch. These will be a non - contact training under the social distancing guidelines. Type of training running and aerobic training.

Phase 4: 20th July All group Training permitted and club competitions to start from 31st July. Access to all indoor Facilities remain closed. Each player must have their own water bottles NO SHARING. All other equipment can be shared but must be washed/sanitized at the beginning and end of each training and games.Hands will be sanities in and out of the grounds. Parents/Guardian will only drop off and pick up from the club.

Phase 5: 10th August Club Competitions continue. All facilities indoors, meeting rooms, gyms,  can open where regular cleaning is carried out and social distancing can be maintained. Contact tracing measures remain in place. Adequate sanitisers will be available throughout the grounds. Spectator numbers to be managed in line with protocols and Government guidance.

PLEASE NOTE: Information is changing everyday with regard to restarting, what clubs need to do etc.  We will endeavour to be as agile as possible during this but we acknowledge that it will be difficult and we will move when we are prepared, and that may mean that each team may not be able to resume at the same time but we will get there.

Date for your diary Camino Walk

Following the success of stage 3 of Killeshandra Camino and the positive feedback they are going to do another one. So on the 18th July they will host the mid section. In order to create a loop we propose parking at Green Lake walking to out to Wood bridge up Gurteen heading to Mullagh Bui  - down to Croghan Church and back to Killeshandra. This is a challenging 15k. Good luck to all

Facility / Field Bookings
