Killeshandra v Templeport on Sunday 19th May game ended Killeshandra 1-07(10) Templeport 1-16(19) hard luck lads and congratulations Templeport.

ACFL 2019 Division

Round 9

Killeshandra played Drumalee on Friday evening. Killeshandra got the first score of the game in the opening minute with a point from Aaron Brady (8). Drumalee got their opening score in the 3rd minute from Cian Byrne (10) followed 4 minutes later with Drumalee getting their second point from a free Cian Byrne (10) taken it. Killeshandra received a free shortly after and Conor McGearty (12) took the free and got the leaguers second point. 10 minutes into the game and Killeshandra get the break with a great run from Shane Reilly (15) and passing it to Conor McGearty (12) who opened the back of the net to get the Killeshandra goal. Shane Murphy (10) in the 14th minute got the Leaguers 3rd point of the game and the leaguers looked like they had the run of this game. Drumalee did get another free and Cian Byrne (10) getting the point for his team followed by another point thanks to Leigh Dunne (15) but the Leaguers manage to get the next 2 points. Great point from Conor McGearty (12) and the other from a free taken by Darren O’ Hanlon (13). 25 minutes in and Drumalee get another point from play Leigh Dunne (15) getting it. The leaguers respond by getting another 3 points before half time to extend their lead Tomas O Reilly (11) getting the first Conor McGearty (12) the second (from free) and Daniel Luby (14) getting the third. Half Time score Killeshandra 1-08(11) Drumalee 0-05(5). Second half underway and Drumalee get the first two points from frees first from Cian Byrne (10) and David O Keefe (13). Conor McGearty (12) got the first point for the Leaguers. Drumalee did get another point to bring the game back to just a Goal. Killeshandra got  another point from play thanks to Conor McGearty(12). It did look like Drumalee were going to made a come back with them scoring the next 4 points on the Leaguers Cian Byrne (10) getting them for Drumalee with 5 minutes to go but a free for the Leaguers gave the two point lead again Shane Reilly(15) taken the point. Ryan Brady’s introduction secured the points for the Leaguers when he intercepted the goalkeepers kick out and passed it out to his team to slot it over the bar. Final Score Killeshandra 1-12(15) Drumalee 0-12(12). #comeontheleaguers.

Killeshandra v Munterconnaught on Saturday 25th May in Killeshandra at 7.30pm. Best of luck Lads and please support.

U15 League Division 2

Semi Final

St. Joseph’s v Killinkere on Thursday 16th May the game was a draw after normal time so it when to extra time which seen St. Joseph's take the win in what was a very exciting game. Game ended St. Joseph’s  6-14 Killinkere 5-08.


St. Joseph’s v Cnoc Bride in the Final on Thursday the 23rd May at 7pm in P.J Duke Stradone. All the very best in the final lads and all support would be much appreciated.

U15 League Division 5

Semi Final

St. Joseph’s v Shercock on Sunday evening in the second semi final the game ended St. Joseph’s 3-04 Shercock 5-16. Hard luck lads you gave it your best against a very strong Shercock team. Best of luck in the Final Shercock.

U13 League Division 4 Rd4

Killeshandra v St. Finbarrs on Tuesday 28th May in Killeshandra at 7.30pm best of luck boys and please support.

LGFA Adult League Division 1 Rd2

Arva/Killeshandra v Templeport on Sunday evening the game ended A/K 1-13 Templeport 0-17. Hard luck ladies and well done Templeport.

Training is every Saturday morning from 10am to 11am in Killeshandra GAA grounds.

U12 St. Joseph’s Girls

Training for U12s are on Wednesday in Arva at 7pm and Saturday mornings in Killeshandra 12noon.

A Cuilcagh Climb

A Cuilcagh Climb (Ballavally Side) will take place on the 16th June in memory of Fr. Dan and Pat Dolan. Bus and guide is €20 (the bus is optional) all proceeds are in aid of Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care. Festival of the Lakes 2019

Festival of the Lakes will start on the 30th of May and run the Bank Holiday weekend with lots of activities happening please check out social media for upcoming events.
