Loop the Lakes Charity Run
Loop the lakes have announce the date for this years event it will take place on the 7th September 2019 this amazing event was set up to raise awareness around suicide prevention and mental health in the local and wider community. It is run by volunteers and also supported by local business and the community. So let's all mark this date in our diaries and support two amazing Charities SOSAD and Pieta House. Hotel Kilmore Intermediate Championship
Killeshandra opened their Championship game against Arva on Sunday evening in Ballinagh.
Daniel Luby(14) opening the score line for the Leaguers in the first minute of the game thanks to a nice pass from Eoin Brady(15). Great play from the Leaguers in the 4th minute seen them get their 2nd point Eoin Brady(15) getting it. Arva had a few chances at points but all just wide of the post and the Leaguers took advantage of this by getting their 3rd point of the first half in the 5th Minute Eoin Brady(15) getting his second of the game. Arva did manage to score their 1st point of the game in the 8th minute Kevin Donohoe(18) getting it. Arva were awarded a 45m free in the 13min which got them their 2nd point of the game Kevin Bouchier(14) taking it. In the 16th minute of the game seen a hard tackle on Shane Reilly(11) by James Morris(3) which seen Shane awarded a penalty and James receiving a black card for Arva, Daniel Luby(14) stepped up to take the penalty for the Leaguers and a great strike from Daniel seen the ball in the back of the net giving the Leaguers a 4 point lead. Arvas no12 Conal Sheridan brought it back to 2points with two good points one from a 45m free. Aaron Brady(10) got the Leaguers 4th point of the game with a brilliant point from an acute angle. Arva were awarded a few 45m frees but only managed to score another point Conal Sheridan(12) before Kieran Mc Carville (Ref) blew the whistle for half time. Half time score Killeshandra 1-4(7) Arva 0-05(5).
Second Half got underway with the Leaguers getting a 45m free Shane taking it and letting a high ball into Conor McGearty(12) who gets the opening point. A 20m free awarded to Arva but a low ball in seen a save from Luke Bevis(3). Arva got their first point of the second half in the 3rd minute Peter Conneely(20) getting it. Killeshandra respond a minute later Aaron Brady(10) taking another point. Another free to Arva in the 6th minute seen Arva getting another point Kevin Bouchier(14) taking it. Killeshandra did look the stronger of both teams as they managed to get their 7th point of the game with a great pass from Shane Murphy(13) to Daniel Luby(14) to get the point. A run from Ciaran Brady(11) Arva up the field and passed to Shane Hamilton(13) getting Arvas 8th point of the game followed shortly by another point from Ryan Magarahan(25). Leaguers awarded a 45m free in the 17th minute which seen Aaron Brady(10) taking the great point.
In the 21st Minute it was Arvas turn for a 12m free and once again Kevin Bouchier(14) steps up to take the point giving us a one point game but it would be Arvas last score of the game thanks to a few good saves from Joe Masterson(1). Ciaran Brady(11) for Arva did go for goal in the last few minutes but a great saved from Luke Bevis(3) stop the ball in its tracks and the Leaguers take control of the rest of the game scoring another 4 points. Shane Murphy(13) with a free, Conor McGearty(12) great point from play Gerard Clarke(4) from play and Aaron Brady(10) 45m free. Kieran McCarville blew the whistle for full time and the Leaguers took the win. Final Score Killeshandra 1-12(15) Arva 0-10(10). #COMEONTHELEAGUERS.

St. Joseph’s v Drumgoon on Monday evening the game ended St. Joseph’s 4-7 Drumgoon 6-11. Unlucky lads.

Training is every Saturday morning from 10am to 11am in Killeshandra GAA grounds.

Training for U12s are on Wednesday in Arva at 7pm and Saturday mornings in Killeshandra
Club Summer Camp
Bookings now being taken for our 2019 Club Summer Camp.
Camp dates are August 12th, 13th & 14th
Camp Times are 10am to 2pm
Camp cost is €30 per child
Attendance is open to primary school children aged 7 years to 13 years.
